About Trailer Delivery

Trailer Delivery is a planned service that will collect a trailer or touring caravan from the person selling it and tow it by road to the person buying it. It is not trading yet.

Who runs it

TPSTORES LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales, number 13238473. The registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. It is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under ZC105359.

What it will move

Road trailers and touring caravans of up to 3,500kg when loaded, 2.55 metres wide and 7 metres long. Those are the legal limits behind a car or 4x4. It will not move a static caravan wider than that, or anything that cannot travel on its own wheels. How it will work.

Why it exists

A trailer is awkward to collect. You need a tow bar, a car rated for the weight and, for a trailer at the other end of the country, a day or two spare. It will not fit in a parcel van either. It has to be towed.

Where things stand

Three things have to be in place before we take a first job. None of them is yet.

A goods vehicle operator's licence, which GOV.UK says is needed to carry other people's goods for payment when vehicle and trailer are plated above 3,500kg together.
A tow vehicle rated to pull 3,500kg.
Insurance that covers a customer's trailer while it is being towed.

The waiting list comes first. It shows how many people want a trailer moved and where, which decides the area we start in.
